CSD-19 Intergovernmental Preparatory Meeting (IPM)

The IPM meeting took place in New York, from February 28 to March 4.
The IPM was the preparatory meeting for the May 2 to 13, 2011, CSD-19 meeting.

The Mining Policy Framework

The members of the Forum have finalized their Mining Policy Framework. The Framework is the summary outcome of the work of the Forum over the last five years. The Framework will be tabled in the course of the nineteenth meeting of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development that will be held in May 2011 in New York. It is presented as a compendium of best practices for governments to best deal with the full range of issues related to mining in order to enhance the contribution of mining to sustainable development.

It is proposed that it be considered as the reference or base line for good governance of the mining sector globally.

2009 Annual General Meeting of the Forum

The 2009 Meeting of the Forum took place in Geneva October 26-29, 2009 at the Palais des Nations. The meeting will be co-hosted with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The members to the Forum Executive Committee are:
