Guidance Provided for the Program of Work

A framework document for the Programme of work was prepared for the meeting. Further discussion took place to provide the future Secretariat with additional information on the priorities to be addressed. A summary document of these discussions is also available.

Confirmation of Membership

It was agreed at the meeting that the immediate priority was the coming into effect of the new Forum. This will happen once twenty-five countries confirm their membership. An example of a document that could be used to confirm of membership was prepared. (It is attached.) The confirmation can be addressed to either South Africa or Canada. The contacts in both countries are identified in the attached document.

This document is not the only possible format; it is simply an example. Each country can take its own approach.
